Victor A. Pinder Jr.

Victor A. Pinder Jr., 73, affectionately known as “Uncle Junie” was born on July 2, 1951, in Long Island, New York, Victor was raised in Chester, Pennsylvania, before settling in South Jersey later in life. He passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025. After graduating high school, Victor proudly served his country in the United States Army. Upon returning to civilian life, he built a fulfilling life in Chester before eventually moving to South Jersey. During his life, he spent several years with Phoenix Steel as a machinist. In 1983, he married his beloved wife, Maggie, beginning a loving partnership that would span over four decades. Victor lived a life rich with passions and interests. He was an accomplished pool player, chess and poker enthusiast who enjoyed the camaraderie of friendly competition. His love for the open road was expressed through his motorcycle rides with beloved Wilmington, Delaware Chapter of the Thunder Guards, and few things brought him more pleasure than watching his cherished Philadelphia Eagles on game day. Victor took special pride in his Cadillac, maintaining it with meticulous care and consideration. One of Victor's greatest joys was traveling to Orangeburg, South Carolina, Maggie's hometown, where he eagerly indulged in the region's renowned soul food and barbecue. These trips were precious opportunities to connect with extended family and enjoy the flavors and hospitality of the South. Throughout his life, Victor remained a friendly presence in his community, always ready with a greeting or conversation for neighbors and friends. His warm personality, genuine interest in others, and zest for life left an impression on all who knew him. Victor is preceded in death by his parents; Victor A. Pinder Sr. and Gloria F. Pinder, siblings; Grace Ann Phillips, Charlotte Banks, Ida Pinder, Lamont Pinder, daughters; Barbara Ann Corbin and Victoria Huggins Victor is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Maggie, two daughters; Jada (Marcus) Edmond and Perceen Davis, sons; Victor Pinder, Jonah Huggins, Henry Davis, siblings; Paula Simmons, Theresa Williams, Vanessa Pinder, Rodney Pinder; extended brothers; Harry Jackson, James Wilson, Timothy Marshall, and Cubby St. Charles god daughters; Brianna Garner and Zariah Corbin, son-in-law, Damon Corbin, 16 grandchildren, 2 great-grands and a host of nieces and nephews and extend family and friends.
