Valerie R. Wylie

Today we celebrate the life of Valerie Renee Wylie who entered internal rest on Monday July 3rd, 2023. Valerie was born December 28,1960 in Chester hospital. Born to the late Elva “Joan” Wylie (2001) and Edwin Moore (1985). Valerie accepted Christ in her life at an early age at Thomas M Thomas church. She attended Chester upland schools from k-12th grade graduating from Chester high 1980. She entered Gordon Phillips beauty school soon after and graduated in 1981. She worked as a hairdresser for many years she was also employed by the Chester township police department as an administrative assistant for many years. Valerie also work many years for Widener University in the dietary department holding many roles Before becoming a supervisor in that department along with managing Morianna’s bar for several years with the love of her life Frankl South. Leaving Widener to work for PBS industries as a manager at the Philadelphia airport into her retirement this year March 2023. Val as she was affectionally called, from the Fairground to the Eastside was a “Social butterfly” and “belle of the ball”. Val LOVED people, and people LOVED Val! She had a smile that would light up an entire house, not a room but the whole house! All you would see is those “white teeth”. You would hear that infectious laugh! If she had one bad thing to say about you, she had four good things to follow. Val loved music Motown, R&B, Oldies, and loved to dance. She loved the Eagles and 76ers, she also loved to cook and create specialty drinks but her overwhelming passion of unconditional love was for her family. Val was predeceased in death by her amazing big brother, Michael Anthony “Tony” Wylie (1993).Valerie leaves to deeply cherish all her memories, her daughter Ebony Michelle Wylie, and son Michael Anthony Wylie. Her two beautiful Granddaughters, Tatyana Michelle Wylie, and Skylar Malaya Wylie. And her special friend Frank South. Also her sister, Michelle Randolph (Brian) of Middletown Delaware, her brother John Webb (Keisha) of Claymont De. Rhonda Moore, Dawn Robertson (Curtis) Tiara Moore, Tameka Moore, Edward “Rodney” Moore and Darren “Durky” Moore. Val has also left behind to hold on to lots of memories, an abundance of nephews, nieces, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and tons of friends. As she would always say “SMOOCHES TO YOU CUTIE’!
