Stephanie M. Robinson

Stephanie Michelle Robinson was born on June 9, 1968, at the Philadelphia Naval Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Laura C. Gavin-Robinson and Lewis R. Robinson, Sr. Surrounded by the love of her family, Stephanie peacefully entered eternal rest on Saturday, June 20, 2026. Stephanie was preceded in death by her beloved godmother, Carolyn Jeffers. Raised in Woodlyn, Pennsylvania, Stephanie was educated in the Ridley School District and proudly graduated from Ridley High School as a member of the Class of 1986. Stephanie dedicated many years of service to others throughout her professional career. She was employed by Delaware County Housing Authority and later worked at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital as a medical transcriber. She then spent 22 years at the University of Pennsylvania, where she served as a Senior Service Representative. Stephanie retired from UPenn in August 2025, leaving behind a legacy of commitment, professionalism, and compassion. Retirement allowed Stephanie to devote more time to the things she loved most, her family, friends, and her grandchildren. She enjoyed gathering with loved ones, sharing laughter, eating crabs, and relaxing with a good, ice-cold can of Michelob Ultra. Known for her quick wit, playful spirit, and gift for “talking trash,” Stephanie brought joy and laughter wherever she went. More than anything, she cherished spending time with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. On August 22, 1998, Stephanie married Darryl S. Dixon, Sr., and from that union her youngest son, Darryl S. Dixon, Jr., was born. Stephanie was also blessed with children from previous relationships: her daughter, Ashley Ramsey; and her sons, Aaron Robinson and Robert Robinson. She was a loving stepmother to Brianna Jennings and a nurturing presence to many others whose lives she touched with her love, guidance, and generosity. For the last 16 years, Stephanie shared a special bond with her devoted companion, life partner, and best friend, Omar Mcfarlane. Through every challenge and every triumph, Omar stood faithfully by her side, offering unwavering love, support, and companionship. Their relationship was a testament to loyalty, friendship, and enduring love. Although Stephanie did not belong to a specific church congregation, she maintained a personal relationship with the Lord throughout her life. Her faith sustained her, and among her favorite gospel songs were “I Trust You” by Richard Smallwood and “Safe in His Arms” by Reverend Milton Brunson and the Thompson Community Singers. Stephanie leaves to cherish her precious memory: her loving mother, Laura Gavin-Robinson; her father, Lewis Robinson, Sr.; her daughter, Ashley Ramsey; her three sons, Aaron Robinson, Robert Robinson, and Darryl Dixon, Jr.; her stepdaughter, Brianna Jennings; her six beloved grandchildren, Brielle Henson, Khasai Black, Giovanni Troxell, Honesti Robinson, Kaiden Thompson, and Wyatt Robinson; her brother, Lewis Robinson, II; her sister, Allyceia Brinkley; her two nieces, Shakita Robinson and Tyana Robinson; her nephew, Lewis Robinson III; her five great-nieces and great-nephews; Solei Williams, Suhan Starkey, Suri Starkey, Nyla Campbell, and Myles Campbell; her devoted life partner, Omar Mcfarlane; her sister-in-law, Tahnyell Robinson; her special cousins, Gina Cooper, Donna Cooper, Monica Rochester, and Brenda Brown; her cherished friends, Jana Dukes and Dawn Hudson; her beloved cat, Freeze; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts. The family of Stephanie Michelle Robinson humbly submits to the will of God, trusting in His grace and giving thanks for the beautiful life, love, laughter, and memories that Stephanie shared with all who knew her. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her in return.
