Rosa M. Pryor

Rosa Mae Pryor (Nix) was born in South Carolina to the late Janey and John Nix on October 10, 1940, and went to be with the Lord on March 6, 2026, after many years of illness but through it all she was always in good spirits. Rosa was predeceased by her brothers, John, Randall, Oliver and sister, Mattie Mae (Pettyjohn). Rosa married Robert Pryor and from that union she gave birth to 1 daughter and 1 son whom she loved dearly. Rosa was educated in the Chester Upland School District and was a stay-at-home mom for many years until joining the staff at West Chester Hospital for over 30 years working with members of her friends and family. She was awarded the “Employee of the Month” Award in 2000. Rosa loved to wear the latest fashions, dancing and decorating her house. She also had a variety of plants that she loved to take care of. Rosa leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Antoinette, a son, Darren, a former husband, Robert, a sister, Annette (Sarjeant) a special niece, Angela (Pettyjohn-West) and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends. The family would like to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for everything that you did to make our bereavement a little easier to sustain. God Bless You… One night a woman had a dream. She dreamed she was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from her life. For each scene she noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to her, and the other to the Lord. When the last scene of her life flashed before her, she looked back at the footprints in the sand. She noticed that many times along the path of her life there was only one set of footprints. She also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered her and she questioned the LORD about it. “LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you would walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don’t understand why when I need you most you would leave me. The “LORD” replied “My daughter, my precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you”
