Marie V. Randall

Marie V. Randall was born on June 20, 1947, in Chester, Pennsylvania to the late Cornelius Winters and Betty Marshall Winters. She departed this life to unite with her heavenly father on February 14, 2025. Marie, affectionately known as Dolly, attended Chester public schools and graduated from Chester High School in 1964. The early influence of her grandmothers and aunts instilled a sense of care and compassion for people. Her desire to help others led to a lifelong career in nursing. She worked as a private duty nurse and for various nursing facilities, including Bishop Nursing Home, Harlee Manor, Wallingford Nursing Home, and Brinton Manor. Marie accepted the Lord at an early age as a member of Murphy AME Church in Chester, PA. She later became a member of Siloam UMC and offered her vocal talent to the Women in White. She was a recent member of St. John AUMP Church, where she served as an usher and choir member. Marie loved the Lord and demonstrated the love of Christ through selfless acts of generosity and kindness. Marie was an only child but raised with her three cousins: Sandra Trotter, Joyce Swain, and Ann Bratcher. Her greatest joy was her son, Wilson. She held him close to her heart and showered him with unconditional love. As a grandmother, her love transcended to her grandchildren Antone, Chase, and Morgan. Marie lived a life full of a love, light, and laughter. She was known for her boisterous laugh and outspoken nature. To truly know her was to love her. She enjoyed hosting family and friends, attending church, traveling, watching her favorite shows, caring for her cats, and spending time at the Salvation Army. Marie was preceded in death by her father, Cornelius Winters; mother, Betty Marshall Winters; grandmothers, Mary Winters and Marie Brooks; close aunts, Sarah Hollis and Mamie Viola Edwards; and grandson, Antone Green. She leaves to cherish her memory: son Wilson Winters (Danielle) of Middletown, Delaware; grandson Chase Winters; granddaughter Morgan Winters; loving friends Diane Kidd, Charlene Carter, and Barbara Goll; special cousin Roslynn Stewart; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
