Leslie D. Cameron

Ms. Leslie Doreen Cameron, of Parkside, PA, daughter of the late Daisy A. McDaniel, was born August 16, 1967, in Newark, N.J, and passed away at home, on May 4, 2021. She attended Newark area public schools, and went on to become a CNA, where she worked at various hospitals and nursing homes in Newark NJ, and Delaware County PA. Leslie had a strong foundational faith, and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Saviour, and regularly fellowshipped at Cornerstone Christian Church, in Chester, PA, prior to her declining health and the detrimental pandemic of 2020. Leslie lived her life unapologetically, lovingly and comfortable in her own skin. She used her life lessons as a cautionary tale, to help others stay encouraged, and regularly strengthened her family and friends with her wisdom, and compassion. Leslie devoted her life to her family, and cherished every moment she spent with her children, siblings, and friends. Leslie was extremely outgoing and outspoken, and never hesitated with speaking her mind, or standing up for someone she felt was being taken advantage of. Leslie was truly a once in a lifetime type being, and she will be forever missed. Leslie is survived by her longtime partner in love, and best friend of twenty-six years, Dawn Potts, and their beloved cats Jack-Jack and Jim-Jim, who were just as much a part of her life, as her children, grandchildren, and family. Leslie is also survived by her father, Benjamin F. Cameron (Sr.), sisters, Shelia Jones, Mary Frisby, Dassette Cameron, brothers, Benjamin Cameron (Jr.), Edward McDaniel, her daughter, Dazina Cameron-Satchell, and son in law James Satchell Jr., her son, Dazavian Cameron, and daughter in law, Josefina Cameron, her amazing and beautiful grandchildren, Zanier Cameron, Emoni Satchell, Sincir Cameron, Zan’iyah Williams (Cameron), Aaron Cameron, James Satchell III, Chayce Satchell, and Danayzha Greene, as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and a few special friends and other family, that loved and adored Leslie and her strong and fierce spirit and heart.
