Larry McCloud Jr.

Obituary Larry McCloud Jr. passed away on the afternoon of Wednesday, August 14th, 2024, surrounded by his loving wife and family. Larry was born on November 2nd, 1976, in Springfield, PA to parents Larry McCloud Sr. and Ella McCloud (Harris). He was raised in Morton, PA and was the youngest of two children. He graduated from Springfield High School in 1994 and after graduating, received his Barber License which he held ever since. Larry was a dedicated and hardworking man who entered the workforce right after high school, barely missing a day of work. He worked for over twenty-five years at East Coast Vending in Morton, PA., before settling in to his most recent position at Peachtree Catering in Wayne, PA. Though he worked at Peachtree Catering for a little over a year, he quickly became loved. He was always smiling and loved to tell stories about his children to all of his co-workers. For many years, Larry was a member of a motorcycle club. He enjoyed the community and brotherhood that the club provided and spent many days/nights riding with his bike brothers. Motorcycles were a big part of his life and there wasn’t a day that went by that his family didn’t hear about the next bike he would be getting. Larry spent a good portion of his time hanging out with his “Pop”, talking and reminiscing about any and everything. You could find them up and down Maple Avenue fixing things, cutting things down, just being together – laughing and joking. Larry would stop by his parents’ house almost every day just to say hi and to check in on his mom to make sure she was okay. And of course, he had to pop in at his sister’s house up the street. He loved his family so much! One of Larry’s most admirable strengths was his ability to form a bond with his children and other children around him. He enjoyed spending time with them, laughing, singing and playing around. He even had special nicknames for everyone; he adored each of them so very much. Larry was a mild-mannered man who was a great husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He loved his family so much and showed it every day. He took pride in helping anyone with anything, especially his family and friends who he shared many adventures with. His contagious smile and silly dancing would light up a room. Larry leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Otelia McCloud; two children, Isaac and Ahzorie; his parents, Larry and Ella McCloud Sr; sister, Tania (Gary); niece, Sabria (Darrell); nephew Darrell (Aaron); niece, Nadi’jah (Lawrence); niece, Gabrielle; great niece, Tahlia; great nephew and godson, Darrell Jr; great niece, Ginger; aunt, Alliemae; cousins, Patricia, Raymond, George (Chrissy) and Rasheda (Tim); god-sister, Sekea; and a host of other cousins, family and friends! Larry played a special role in Alexis, Elijah, Jayden, Jorja and Tobias’ lives; he loved them all so much! Larry had a special bond with childhood friends: Frank, Brent, Norman, Seth and Richard.
