Obituary for Juan E. Rodriguez Juan E. Rodriguez, 67, a long-term resident of Chester PA, passed away peacefully after a long battle of lung cancer and a heart condition on Saturday March 8, 2025, at his home. Juan was born on October 22, 1958, in Juana Diaz Puerto Rico. Early Life & Family Juan moved to Pennsylvania in the late 70’s from Brooklyn NY, to start a new life with his wife Joy Andino Juan loved his family, enjoyed family time and making great memories. His smile would light up a room. He was always eager to help someone especially when it came to any type of home improvements, and/or car troubles, he was definitely your ”go to guy”. Always happy and smiling, even when he was upset, he found a way to laugh about the situation. Growing up in NY he enjoyed going to Coney Island with his boom box on his shoulders, playing handball, going to the public pools, making fishnets with his dad, going fishing and playing baseball with his brothers. He also built a piragua cart (water ice truck) with his father and brothers and would go to the street corners of Brooklyn and sell the best piraguas ever! Career Juan was a carpenter, a trade he followed after his father Interest and Hobbies Juan’s passion was his handy work, listening to his Spanish music, dancing, playing pool, watching his Bruce Lee karate movies, and going fishing Personal Qualities Juan was a jokester, love saying his funny jokes and laughed at his own jokes funny or not and loved doing pranks on his family. Juan’s hugs, smile, and dancing is one of his qualities that will be missed dearly, His smile would light up a football field. Surviving Family Juan leaves behind 5 grown children, his oldest daughter Jessica Andino, Linda Rodriguez, John Pearson, Jamie Pearson, Angela Rodriguez and 17 grandchildren. His surviving siblings are Milagros Torres of Lancaster PA, Hector R Franceschi Chester PA, Felicita Hernandez of Juan Diaz PR, Balbina Vidro of NJ, Lala Rodriguez of Chester PA, Carmen Sanchez of Windham CT, Maritza Rodriguez of Chester PA, Maria Gabrille of Chester PA, and Jorge Rodriguez of New London CT, and a host of nieces and nephews. Predeceased He is predeceased by his dad Eugenio Rodriguez 1983, mom Margarita Colon 2008, grandson KJ and brothers: Jorge L Rodriguez 1976, Francisco Pratts Sr 1991, Jose A Rodriguez 1997, Roberto Rodriguez 1998, Alexander Rodriguez 2000, Heriberto Rodriguez 2005, Hector Rodriguez 2006, Orlando Rodriguez 2007, Jaime Rodriguez 2014, Eduardo Rodriguez 2023
