Eva Ann Virginia Riley

Eva Ann Virginia Riley 57, resident of Chester, Pennsylvania. Born July 25, 1965 in Hartford, Connecticut. Eva departed this life on March 31, 2023 to go home to be with the Lord. Eva, affectionately known as Ann, had a real zest for life. She carried the names of her grandmother and, an older aunt, that meant she had big shoes to fill. She possessed a warm smile and a kind and caring spirit. Family was everything, but most of all she loved God. Ann committed her life to God at a young age and served him diligently. As a child she would attend church with different friends even if the family wasn't attending. This led her to be exposed to and explore different denominations of Christianity. You could give her a little storefront church and she was just fine as long as the holy spirit was involved. Ann had a personal relationship with God. As an adult she and her cousin “Dorlisa” were church partners. The family deemed them “The church ladies!” Ann loved a good church service, and good gospel singing. In later years Ann was led to Ascension Holiness Church COGIC under the direction of Pastor Kenworth L.V. Griffith. First Lady Mother Denise Griffith. Ann was educated in the Chester Upland school district. She worked as a Daycare Assistant at “Just Like Home Group Daycare Center” for over 10 years. She loved the children and often they were the topic of her conversations, even after her workday. She enjoyed and took pride in caring for the children’s safety and teaching the early stages of childhood development. Beloved daughter of Constance G. Riley-Lilley and Eddie Lilley, who are predeceased and await her. Ann was the oldest of three siblings. Edward L Lilley, who grieves her loss, and Bruce C. Lilley, who is predeceased and awaits her. Ann had a great sense of humor, and loved a good laugh! She had a flair for fashion and was very versatile in her style of dressing. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Family was everything! Ann absolutely adored her only daughter Ebonie. On July 25,2000 Ann was married to Paul M.Lopez, although separated, they remained cordial, after sharing many happy years together. She loved spending time eating out with her grandchildren or just gathering around the dining room table at home. She was a great cook and enjoyed family gatherings, and welcomed a few good friends, especially around holidays. Ann loved artwork and decorating. She decorated her home to match every season, especially the dining room. She also had a love for antiques. She enjoyed music, posting pictures to Facebook and a good cup of coffee in the morning! To know her, was to love her. Ann will be truly missed. Gone from our sight, but forever in our hearts. Lovingly submitted.
