Daniel W. Price

In loving memory of Daniel W. Price who departed this life on January 19, 2026. Unique, valiant, courageous, and resilient all fit the characteristics of the baby boy gifted to John and Mary Price. Daniel, affectionately called Folks or Danny Boy by his siblings and family, was born on January 26, 1952, in Chester, Pa. He was educated in the Chester Upland public school system and graduated from Chester High School in 1971. Shortly thereafter, he became employed by Scott Paper Company, better known as Kimberly-Clark in Chester, Pa. He worked in the Material Handling Department for thirty-eight years, retiring in 2011. While there he was also selected to work on the Redesign Team. On June 12, 1982, he married the love of his life, Florence Clark. Though his health had been challenging for years, with frequent hospitalizations and rehabilitations, Florence never wavered or complained. She stuck right by him to the bitter end. Daniel's controversial way at times led him to attend St. Luke C.C. Church as well as Bethany Baptist Church. Pastor George Anderson visited and supported him as well as Pastor Curtis Morris during his hospital stays and while recovering at home. Daniel's favorite pastime was watching old black and white movies. Two of his favorites were The Day the Earth Stood Still and The Dirty Dozen. Daniel would listen to different genres of music, but he was passionate about Classical and Baroque Music. He would put his headphones on and stand in the middle of the floor directing the music. Many times, inviting his wife to listen along. He didn't want you to talk or make a sound while he was watching his beloved Philadelphia Eagles or the Seventy Sixers. Daniel loved his family unconditionally and they loved him. He would never let you hug or kiss him and would make comical gestures when you did so. Daniel was truly one of a kind. Lastly, he will be missed deeply by his devoted wife of forty-three years, Florence: siblings, Darrell Price, Derrick Price (Brenda) and Donna Price; several sisters-in-love, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His lifelong friends were John Mason, John Singleton, Regina Walker, and Cousin Rene Evans.
