Larry L. Foreman Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Larry Lorenzo Foreman was born on May 25, 1952, in Salisbury, Marland, to Thelma Foreman. He was the fifth child of eight children. On Monday, May 2, 2022 at 4:19 p.m. he departed this life surrounded by family. Larry was educated in the Chester Upland School District. He was employed by various employers in Chester, PA, New Jersey, and Delaware. He worked for EVRAZ Claymont Steel where he eventually retired. He was a jovial individual who was adored by friends and family from many walks of life. He devoted his life to his children and grandchildren. Larry enjoyed picking his grandkids up from school and taking them to the store or chick-fil-A. He would also take them to school where they were always late because he just had to stop them pass McDonald’s for breakfast. On August 7, 1993 Larry married his wife, Tina Pierce. Larry enjoyed spending time in 5th street bar. He started off as just a customer which quickly changed to him becoming an employee (bartender, Janitor, Event planner and Assistant Manager) for the past 30 years. Larry WAS AND ALWAYS WILL BE 5th Bar. 5th street bar is also where TL productions was born. Every Christmas Holiday TL production would put on a big holiday show. Raffles, food and fun. He would also do fall matinees. Larry was known for picking on people (Even people who he didn’t know) . He was a big jokester, with an even bigger heart. In the 1980’s Larry became a member of the Free Masonry Brotherhood (Linwood Lodge #87) He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Tina Pierce; three children Larry Smith, Dinetta Purnell and La’Netta Knox. One daughter in law, Rhonda Smith and two sons-in-law Anthony Purnell Sr. and Justin Knox. Four grandchildren Anthony Jr., Jayla, Aneesa, and Jordyn. Four sisters Cleona Johnson, Sandra Foreman, Angela Coles and Eunice Harmon. Two surviving brothers Samuel Foreman and Harvey Dixon, one brother-in-law James Johnson and two sisters-in-laws, Mary Manuel and Paulette Foreman. He leaves one god-son, Alvin Herring, Jr. , with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is proceeded by death by his mother Thelma Foreman, three brothers David Lee Foreman, Sherman Winston Foreman and Leon Thomas Manuel.
