Kevin Tillery

July 20, 1963 - January 7, 2020

Kevin “Salik” Tillery was born to the late Shirley Travers and Lewis Strand on July 20, 1963 in Chester Pa, educated in the Chester Upland School District, Kevin was a graduate of Chester High School in June 1981. Kevin who is also known as Salik by close friends and acquaintances. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially on Sunday’s at his daughter house for his favorite dish “mac & cheese”, he also enjoyed watching sports (football) and blasting his hip hop and R&B music. Kevin was the life of any party with his beautiful smile and all of his funny jokes. He was full of humor. Kevin was very passionate for his wife and children; he always made sure they were protected. He had various jobs and backgrounds working in warehouses, cooking, landscaping, and painting. Kevin served in the United States Army in 1990- 1995 during war time and did a good service to his country. Kevin is preceded in death by his son Robert L. Tillery, Mother Shirley Travers, Sister Deborah A.Duncan Carr. Maternal grandparents Rodney Duncan and Florence Powell, Paternal grandparents Harry Strand and Mamie Strand. Kevin leaves to cherish his memory, lovely wife of thirty two years Patricia Tillery, three beautiful daughters Ra’Sheedah L. Tillery (Mustafa) of Ridley Pa, Patrice M. Tillery (Michael), of Claymont De, Ka’Rhonda P. Lucas Tillery of Lansdowne Pa, Four sons Kevin J. Tillery and Raneer Pittman of Chester pa, Karon Lucas Tillery of Lansdowne Pa, and Xavier Tillery of Lebanon Pa. Father, Lewis Strand Sr. (Stella) Sister, Lynette Allen (David) Brothers Norvell Tillery, Joseph Tillery (Mary), Anthony Tillery( Carlene), Lewis Strand Jr. (Jeanette),8 granddaughters and 7 grandsons that he loved dearly, Lifelong friend Eric Chappell, and two special cousins that he considered his sisters Karen Smith, Kim Strand, And a host aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
