Janet Johnson

September 10, 1948 - August 3, 2021

The Beautiful Life of Janet Stewart Johnson Janet Stewart Johnson was born September 10, 1948, in Birmingham, Alabama to Johnnie and Deanner Stewart. Janet, affectionately known as “Jeanette” to family and friends, was blessed to be a part of a family with six sisters and one brother. The family relocated from Birmingham, Alabama to Chester, Pennsylvania where they lived for a few years before making Twin Oaks, Pennsylvania their permanent home. While living in Twin Oaks Jeanette attended the Chichester School District. As the Stewarts spread their wings in Twin Oaks, Jeanette met the love of her life Clarence “Boo” Johnson. The couple wed on September 4th, 1965. From this union, five children were born. Jeanette was employed by Ship and Shore, The Franklin Mint, and Fair Acres Geriatric Center. She was a passionate long-time member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. The steady guidance of the church was important to Jeanette and she made sure her kids saw its importance as well. Jeanette took great pride in her family. Janet loved her family deeply and nothing was more important to her. She lived for her family and friends. Jeanette loved music and dancing. She was a strong woman with a big heart who possessed that rare quality of keeping a smile on her face in all she did. Jeanette leaves behind a legacy of Love. To cherish those memories are her loving husband of 55 years, Clarence “Boo”; her devoted daughter, Carmen Johnson (Edward) of Claymont, Delaware; her faithful son, Tommy Johnson (Desiree) of Middletown, Delaware; her loyal son, Clarence “Rosco” Johnson (Gina) of Exton, Pennsylvania; sisters, Sadie Mae Williams of Muskegon, Michigan, Geraldine Boyd of Chester, Pennsylvania, Diane Fisher of Bear, Delaware, Rita Stewart of Chester, Pennsylvania, Kathy Stewart of Claymont, Delaware; brother, Johnnie Stewart Jr. of Wilmington, Delaware; grandchildren, Dwayne Crosby, Edward “EJ” “Jake” Johnson (Samantha), Ashley Collier (Mark), Lacey Crosby, Nicholas Crosby (Tairea), Vaughn Johnson, Tahj Johnson, Lina Johnson; goddaughter, Ayanna Stewart(Terrence); a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Jeanette was predeceased by her parents Johnnie and Deanner Stewart; daughters Carla Posey Crosby and Roslyn Johnson; son Baby Clarence; sister Wilda Webb; nephews Johnathan Boyd and Jeremiah Trusty
