Jacinda’s Life Journey Jacinda Ka’Shae Soto was born on July 26, 1997, at Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland, PA. She was the eldest child and only daughter of Jenaira Soto. Jacinda, affectionately called Jaci, made her debut in the world as a happy and loving baby. From birth, Jacinda was chosen by God to shine His light onto every individual she encountered and every endeavor she pursued. Jacinda made many strides in education. She received her education through Chester Community Charter School, Cardinal O’Hara Catholic School and Penn State University. Jacinda was an outstanding honor student and loved to read. By third grade, she was reading at a twelfth-grade level. In addition to her academic accolades, Jacinda was very outgoing and was involved in numerous sports and activities. She participated on the swim team, track and field, soccer, boxing, flag football, lacrosse, and Soap Box Derby. As a toddler and young adult, Jacinda participated in countless beauty pageants and won many titles. She was a member of the Chester Biddy and Cardinal O’Hara cheerleading squads. Jacinda was a member of the Cheyney Alumni Cotillion, Amicete, Girl Scouts, Reach One Teach One Program, Latin American School of Dance, and the SABER Program. Jacinda earned a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism with an emphasis in Sports and Liberal Arts at Penn State University in 2020. After graduating from Penn State University, Jacinda relocated to Bethlehem, PA with her fiancé Kristopher Herrera. She dreamed of earning a doctorate degree and obtaining employment at ESPN. Jacinda gained her Heavenly wings on Friday, February 11, 2022, in Baltimore, MD. She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Damian Soto Feliciano Sr., great-grandmother, Sara Bonilla Rodriguez, and bonus brothers, Richard Hill Jr. and John Pettica Jr. To celebrate her beautiful and vibrant memory, Jacinda leaves her mother, Jenaira Soto; fiancé, Kristopher Herrera; bonus fathers, Christopher M. Coursey and Malcolm J. Young; brother, Jael C. Coursey; grandparents, Damian and Blanca Soto; bonus grandparents, Michael and Karen Coursey; uncles, Abner Soto and Rohan Murphy; bonus uncles, Jamal A. McIntyre and Hector Morales; aunts, Naima Soto and Iris Sanchez; bonus aunts Shantae Stewart, Noraida Morris, and Geraldina T. Newman; bonus siblings John Lolley, Latif Burton, Troy Soto, Tarrief Meeks, Malik Young, Malcolm Young, Kioni Lee Morgan, Ashley Hernandez, Ikea Jennings, Jaimie Welsh, Dreu Davis, Tay-Shon Watson, and Jasmin Miller; and a host of great-uncles, great-aunts, cousins, and friends. Jacinda will be loved forever and remembered as a beautiful, exuberant light that beamed in life and radiated happiness in the lives of others.
