Geneva S. Watkins Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Geneva Summers Watkins was born on December 6, 1933 in Chester, Pennsylvania to the late Lydia M. Wilson Summers and Frank L. Summers, Sr., as the seventh of nine children. She departed this life peacefully, surrounded by her family on March 29, 2020. Geneva aka “Honey”, as she was affectionately known by family and friends, attended Chichester Schools and was raised in Twin Oaks, PA. On February 24, 1951, she married Curtis Watkins Sr., and later moved to Chester, Pennsylvania and from this union, they were blessed with nine children. Geneva was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She dedicated her life to raising her children and grandchildren. She was a caring mother and grandmother, beloved sister and dear aunt. In addition to her parents, Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Watkins, Sr., her son Fenton Eric Watkins, six sisters: Mary Eliza Henry, Sara Julia Brown, Mildred Ann Harper, Dorothy Marie Bannister, Ethel Lee Harris, Betty Bernice Lewis and brother: Frank L. Summers, Jr. Geneva leaves to cherish her fond memories, eight children: Curtis “Punchy” Watkins of Claymont, De; Kevin Drew and Dorian “Dodie” Watkins of Chester, Pa; Aubrey Watkins of Media, Pa; Vincent “Bruce” Watkins of Lancaster, Pa; Heath Watkins of Somerdale, NJ; Lydia Ethel “Peachie” Watkins of Brookhaven, Pa; Portia Watkins of Allentown, Pa and one sister Geraldine Cooper of Chester, Pa. two daughters-in-law: Barbara W. Tillery of Trainer, PA and Monica Watkins of Media, PA , twelve grandchildren: Dawn, Mikisha, IKeam, Keyara, Kevin, Tyran, Fenton, Robert, Krystal, Sheena, Antoinette and Briana; thirty-four great grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren, a niece who took special care of her Pamela Bannister, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
