God needs his most perfect angels with Him, so on January 12, 2022 He called our beautiful Diana Marie Moore home. Diana Marie Moore was born to the late Mary Ellen Lytle-Brown and the late Clarence Johnson on March 23, 1943 at Taylor Memorial Hospital in Ridley, PA. Diana was raised in Morton, Pa and educated in the Ridley Township School District. Diana attended her family church, Shorter AME, until she moved to Philadelphia. Her favorite subject in high school was bookkeeping. After high school, she attended cosmetology school. She worked as a hairdresser until moving on. She kept her cosmetology skills by styling family and friends. She began a career at Frankford Chocolate Company in 1977 and retired from there in 2004. She began a second career as a School Crossing Guard in 2009 and retired in 2019. During her tenure as a crossing guard, she built great relationships with staff, neighbors, parents, and students while providing wisdom and a helping hand for those in need. She loved to make charitable contributions to St. Jude and The Children’s Network. Diana met and married the late Aaron A. Moore on November 10, 1961. From this union, three children were born – Pamela, James, and Sherwyn Moore. Diana, who was affectionately known as Marie, Re-Re, and Mama Moore, enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She took great pride in assisting those who she loved whenever they needed her. Diana LOVED to dance. You could always see her doing the slop, the bop, the cha-cha, or anything that got her moving. She loved her oldies! She enjoyed reading, crossword and word search puzzles in her spare time. Marie was a woman of strong faith in the Lord. Re-Re loved to travel and did it as often as she could. She loved to entertain – Christmas Eve was a staple at her house! Marie loved cooking Sunday dinners for her family to stop by and enjoy. Marie was preceded in death by her only son, James Moore and her brother, James Lytle. Marie leaves to cherish her memory her loving, dedicated daughters Pamela Dent (Darryl) and Sherwyn Moore, her siblings Dorothy Smith (Leroy), Charles Thompson (Margaret), and Lauren Foster (Barry, Sr.), sister/cousin Marian Bagby, 5 grandchildren – John, Derrick, Dana, Sean, and Dionna, 5 great grandchildren – Masai, LaRae, Laylah, Eric, and Evan, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Aunts also play a very Important role in the upbringing of their nieces and nephews. Children have their parents to raise them and teach them values, But aunts practically take on the role of second mothers. They’re Always there when their nephews and nieces need them. The relationship between children and their aunts is truly a Close one. When mom is tired, an aunt is always ready to jump In and spend time with her little loved one.
