Daisy Mae Coe

Mrs. Daisy Mae (Greene) Coe, 85, went Home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 21, 2021 in Morton, PA. She was the wife of the late Judge L. Coe, Sr. They shared 55 years of marriage together. Daisy was born in Darlington, South Carolina on June 29, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Goldie Greene and the late Alice Prince. At an early age Daisy received Jesus Christ as her personal savior, and lived a life of devotion to the Lord until she was called Home. She graduated from Rosenwald High School in Society Hill, South Carolina. After working a variety of jobs, she then graduated from the Nursing Assistant Program, with a certificate in Geriatric Assistance, at the Philadelphia Training Center Career Institute, PA in 1985. She worked as a Nursing Assistant and in related employment until her retirement. She was preceded to eternal rest by one brother, England Greene, and seven sisters: Emma Robinson, Pearl Robinson, Amy Morrison, Eva Barber, Willie Mae Poole, Lorena Booker, and Lexter Little. Daisy and her late husband were blessed with eight children. She was preceded to eternal rest by her daughter, Angela Geraldine (Coe) Wiggins Carter, and leaves to cherish her memories: four daughters, Gloria Coe of Chesapeake, Virginia, Deborah Coe of Upland, PA, Shari Coe of Morton, PA, and Bernadette Coe of Media, PA; three sons, Allen Coe of Pocono Summit, PA, Gregory Coe (Robin) of Charlottesville, Virginia, and Judge Coe, Jr. (Lorraine) of Upper Darby, PA; her brother, Carolina Greene of Brooklyn, New York; her grandchildren and great grandchildren; and her many nieces and nephews. Daisy enjoyed celebrating her faith in the Lord and attending church as often as possible. She devoted her life to the Lord, and did everything she could to spread the Lord’s Gospel. She was a loving mother, devoted wife, and her caring and mild disposition won her the admiration of all who knew her. A Memorial Tribute will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at the Earl Foster Funeral Home, 1100 Kerlin Street, Chester, PA 19013.
