THE SEASON IN THE LIFE OF WILLIAM M.”BUTCH” WHITESIDE A Time to be Born William McKinley “Butch” Whiteside III was born on July 15, 1950 in Darby, Pa to William Jr. and Mary Dawson Whiteside. He was preceded in death by both parents and his sister Deborah Whiteside Miller. A Time of Peace He was educated at Sidney Smedley Elementary in Morton, Pa and was a graduate of the Springfield/Morton School District. His family settled in Morton where he attended Shorter A.M.E.Church. A Time to Love Butch met and fell in love with his childhood sweetheart, Diane Neal. Theirs was a one of a kind love and they were joined in Holy Matrimony on April 13, 1970. This union resulted in two children, Danielle and William “B.J.” Whiteside Jr. A Time to Embrace Along with the love and devotion to his family, Butch was an avid sports fan, especially of Eagles football. He loved to travel, hang out with friends, and could always be relied on to host card games. He also loved horseshoes, and swimming.There was never a shortage of family cook-outs and fun times at his house, where you were guaranteed to have a great time. A Time to Laugh He was an immense jokester and would kid around with people constantly.You knew you were liked because he would find a way to tease you. He loved holidays and would always tell his family, ”Just give me an envelope.” We thank and praise Almighty God that he received Christ as his personal Savior on January 23rd, 2023 under the guidance of his good friend Elder Aaron Asbury! A Time to Die Butch departed this life on Thursday, Jan 26, 2023at home surrounded by his loving family.PP He leaves to cherish his loving wife, Diane of 53 years.Three children, Danielle, William B.J(Stacey), and William “Butchie”(Alexis). Siblings, Rosemary King,Robert Whiteside Sr.,(Leslie), Nancy Shade, and Lisa Whiteside(Quincy). Grandchildren, Wymier, Dante, Wyaunee, Noah and Luna. Aunt, Shirley Myers of Yeadon and Uncle, Frankie Wilson of Huntsville, Alabama. Mother-in-law, Lydia Neal, Sister-in-law, Brenda Neal. Godchildren,Kareem Whiteside, Evette “NeNe” King, Lamar Powell and Kierra Powell. Special friends, Rodney McFall, Al Fox, and Earl “Lump” Asbury, and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
