Veronica’s Story Sunrise- 6/22/1942 – sunset 06/12/2025 Veronica Cottman born as Veronica Sandra Darling. On June 22, 1942, in Chester pa to the late Rose Darling Jones and William (Willie Frank) Henley. Veronica was educated in Chester upland school district. Affectionately known to family and friends by her nick name Coochie. Veronica knew the Lord at an early age and was raised up in Ranges Temple Pentecostal church, later on in life became a member of Temple Baptist church were she served until her health failed. Veronica was a home maker and wife to William Cottman Sr. who preceded her in death. Veronica had a host of family members and friends who looked up to her and sought protection, she was a fearless woman who fear only God. She said exactly what was on her mind with no repentance. She was a mother to every child in every neighborhood. She didn’t care about disciplining other people’s children when they were wrong and telling their parents she whooped them. then told the child don’t let me catch you again. This gained her respect from other parents because they knew that their child was in good hands and long as she was watching. Veronica loved cooking and spending time with her family. In her leisure time she enjoyed going to the casino and spending time with her friends Ms. Janette walls, Ms. Blandina Johnson and her friend Ms. Sylvia. She was preceded in death by her brothers Gary Darling, and Darrell Darling, her only birth son William Cottman jr. her nephew William Clifford Everritt. her bonus daughter and sons Geneva Chambers -Dale, Gene Cottman, and James Burch. She leaves to mourn, her sister Demaris Jones, and brothers Roderick darling, and William (Jamie) Henley, her children Sandra Jeffries (Curtis), Roseann Calloway, Verselle Cottman, Latanya Henderson, (Maurice), Audrey Dingles Gilmore, (Rollie) Lakiesha Sturdivant- Grainger (Earltwan) Veronica Sturdivant, bonus daughter and sons Kathleen Carter (Lamont), Harry Cottman sr. (Jerry), Harold Morgan Her God daughters Jasmine Dean and Sharona McBride. Her sister /daughter in love Robin Dean, daughters in love Denise Twyman, Anitra Lacey Blake (Howard), Evette West and Eleanor smith, sons in love Devon Walls and Delbert walls, Kelvin Jackson (Jadia), and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews,’ and cousins whom she loved dearly,
