Pamela J. Tucker

Celebrating the Life of Pamela J. Tucker Pamela J. Tucker was affectionately known as “Pappy” was born to the late Morris C. Tucker and the late Louise Ethel Johnson-Tucker on June 8, 1950 at Chester Hospital in Chester, Pennsylvania. Pamela received her wings unexpectedly on September 6, 2021 at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE. Pamela was a life-long resident of Chester, Pennsylvania and attended Chester Upland School District Public Schools. She graduated from Chester High School in 1969. Pamela worked at Workmen’s Circle Nursing Home in Media, PA for over 10 years and also at The Belvedere Nursing Home in Chester, PA before ending her career. Pamela was a servant with a heart of gold who cared deeply about her family, friends, and neighbors. She enjoyed babysitting her nieces, nephews, and friend’s children. Pamela enjoyed spending time with her daughter who was her world. She became a grandmother to her only grandson Jonathan (Maury) whom she adored. Pamela enjoyed family gatherings like barbeques, birthday celebrations, and holidays. But her favorite holiday gathering was Christmas. Christmas Eve meant spending time with her family, and Christmas Day to host a dinner at her home for the family. Pamela gave so freely to others with no intentions of receiving anything back; she just wanted to help and serve others and make them happy. Pamela leaves behind to cherish her memory: her beloved daughter Angela J. Rochester of Newark, DE; her son-in-law her caregiver, Charles C. Rochester, Jr.; her grandson Jonathan L. King of Glendale, CA; grandson Ryan J. Nichols of Newark, DE; granddaughter Jasmine O. Rochester of Newark, DE, and three great granddaughters. Pamela also leaves behind her brothers: Morris Tucker, Jr., Edward Tucker, Alonzo Tucker (Thelma), Orlando Tucker of Chester, PA; Robert K. Tucker (Terri) of Wilmington, DE; Larry Tucker (Doreen) of Bensalem, PA; Gregory Tucker (Iris), Philadelphia, PA; Shawn Tucker and Jerry Tucker of Philadelphia, PA; along with her late sister Martrichia Tucker Matthews and her late brother Anthony M. Tucker; her sister Sharon D. Parks (Walter) of Harrisburg, PA; brother-in-law Harrison U. Matthews; along with her late sister-in-law Barbara Jean Burton-Tucker; her goddaughter Shayla Tucker; and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
