Nicholas Bagley III

Nicholas Bagley III, born October 28, 1953, in Philadelphia, PA, peacefully gained his wings on August 27, 2024. Affectionately known as Nick, he was a cherished son of the late Melva Tribble Corley (Thomas) and Nicholas Bagley Jr. (Queenie). Nick's educational journey began at Norristown High School, followed by further studies at local colleges and universities in Delaware and Philadelphia counties. From a young age, he embraced his Christian faith and was a devoted member of Mt. Hebron A.M.E. Church in Linwood, PA. With a dedicated career spanning 42 years, Nick worked as a respected insurance agent, retiring from TransAmerica (formerly Monumental) Insurance Company. He was one who radiates charisma and had an endless supply of stories and jokes. If you knew Nick, you knew he was a Boss. He was the former owner of Bagley's Place and Bagley's Variety Store in Chester, PA, as well as Bagley Inc. LLC. In his leisure time, he indulged in the high stakes as a Diamond Club member at the casino. When it comes to sports, he knew all about the Philadelphia Phillies and San Francisco 49ers. His contributions extended far beyond his profession; he was a distinguished member of the Masonic Order, holding numerous esteemed positions, including a distinguished Past Master of Linwood Lodge #87, Past High Priest of Omega Chapter #12 H.R.A.M., Past Thrice Ilustrious Master of Leon H. Johnson Council, Royal and Select Masters, Past Eminent Commander of Imperial Commandery #12, Past Commander In Chief of Charles E. Gordon Consistory #65, A member of the Priory, Knights of the York Cross of Honor, Past Worthy Patron of Leah Chapter #27. Past Eminent Grand Commander for the Grand Encampment Jurisdiction of Pennsylvania, Past Right Grand Thrice Illustrious Master, Royal And Select Masters Jurisdiction of Pennsylvania. Grand Inspector General of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Northern Jurisdiction, Prince Hall Affiliation, U.S.A. Inc. (33° Mason), MWPHGL of PA - Worshipful Grand Orator East, Past Potentate of Minaret Temple #154 (AEONMS). This is not an all inclusive list and only represents a snapshot of the illustrious career and the outstanding level of service of Bro. Nicholas Bagley, he will be missed dearly. Nick was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Nikea Debnam (Cory). He is lovingly remembered by his children, Nichelle Gilbert, Nick IV (Patricia), Nichelle (Na’eem Scott Sr.), Nichole (Victor Silver), Nicarra (Ian Garrett), Nicholas IV , and Desmond Bagley; a step- daughter whom he raised Latoya Dennis, his brother Marcus (Karen); his sister Susan Dixon (Clifford); as well as 22 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, close friends George Howard and Russell Queen, and a host of cousins, family and friends. Nick's legacy is one of faith, dedication, and service, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him. His memory will be cherished and his impact felt by those who were fortunate to have shared in his life.
