Nairee D. English

Nairee Davoune Jamar English, 17, affectionately known to his family as Dudey, was born in Chester, PA on December 18, 2002 to Willie McKinzie Jr., and SaDari English. Nairee was a well-rounded, and polite young man. He was most noted for his kindness to others, and loving demeanor. He would always greet you with the best hug ever. He loved to be silly and could brighten anyone’s day with his infectious smile. His humor was always elevated with a witty remark. He never failed to be the voice of reason for his friends, and the one person everyone could count on to shower them with love. Spending time with those he loved was important to him, and he would always let you know how much he cared about you. His charm and charisma will be deeply missed by all. Nairee was educated in the Brandywine School District. He attended Hanby Elementary School, Springer Middle School, and Concord High School. At Springer Middle School, he was a member of the track and wrestling teams and sang on the chorus. For the past three years, Nairee attended Concord High School, Home of the Raiders. During his time as a Raider, he was a student-athlete, who played football, lacrosse, and wrestling team. In addition to academics and sports, Nairee served as a library aide and was a member of the Concord Chorale. Nairee enjoyed being a Concord Raider and always demonstrated school spirit. In 2018, he was voted Mr. Sophomore by his peers. Although virtual, the 2020-2021 school year marked the beginning of Nairee’s senior year as a member of Concord High School’s graduating Class of 2021. As a youth, he participated on various teams throughout the Brandywine area, including the Brandywine Cowboys football team, and the Brandywine Blackhawk’s lacrosse team. He was most known for his participation as a member of the Brandywine Warrior’s Football team as a linebacker and wide receiver. He was a Boy Scout, achieved a Blue Belt in Karate, and was level 1 in Krav Maga Martial Arts. Nairee was a hard worker and enjoyed his independence. His first job was at Acme Supermarket located on Marsh Rd., in Branmar Plaza II. He was currently working two jobs. He was employed at Chipotle Mexican Grill on Route 202 in Wilmington DE, and Harry’s Savoy Grill and Ballroom on Naamans Road in Wilmington. On September 9, 2020, Heaven reclaimed their angel, and those of us that loved him here on Earth, gained a guardian to watch over us. Nairee was predeceased in death by his brother, Kairee Lore't Travis Ellis, paternal grandfather Willie McKinzie Sr. and maternal grandfather, George Colder. He is survived by his parents, Willie McKinzie, Jr. (Nadege) of Wilmington, DE; SaDari English (Raymond) of Accokeek, MD., and his Mum Mum, Alisha McKinzie of New Castle, DE.; 3 brothers, Anthony Heygood (Alexandria) of Indianapolis, IN, Lorrie Ellis III of Sharon Hill, PA, and Eddie McCain of Wilmington DE.; 4 sisters Ah’Tyana Coston (Nate) of Chester, PA, Ah’Zhanae English of New Castle, DE, Alyssa McKinzie of New Castle, DE, and Naja McCain of Wilmington, DE.; paternal grandmother, Dora McKinzie of New Castle, DE.; maternal grandparents, Virginia English and Randolph Genwright of Chester, PA. Nairee was the proud uncle of Jayden Heygood, Aa’Mylah Coston, Crystal Coston, Tylor Coston, Day’Juan Henson, King Coston, Harlowe Heygood, and Arlee Nairee Lore’t Henson. He also leaves a host of relatives and friends to cherish his memory.
