Jeanette Robinson Her Life Story “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1 Jeanette Robinson was born to the late Richard and Janie Smith on April 3, 1939. On Tuesday, November 19, 2019, Jeanette’s Mission was complete, when God whispered in her ear, “Job well done, Come Rest In Peace”. Born the oldest of 10. Jeanette took care of her siblings which prepared her to become the matriarch of her family. With her continued stability and believing in doing God’s Will, she sacrificed, gave and served for so many of her loved ones as well as people she barely even knew. She was always known as a sweet, loving, giving and caring woman with a heart of gold. Jeanette attended the Chester Upland School District and graduated Class of 1958. Jeanette married the love of her life James Charles Wallace Robinson on June 20, 1959. From this union, five beautiful children were born. Jeanette’s passion was loving and serving God. She was a member of White Rock for a brief period and have been a member of Light House Church up until her sickness. Her hobbies along with her family are sewing/designing curtains, seat cushions, playing phase 10, Cooking, Cleaning, Bingo, Casino and Cruising. Jeanette worked for Widener University in housekeeping for over 25 years, before she retired due to her illness. She was very organized and took pride in everything she did. She was a den mother for the Cub Scouts which she took her son Tony on many camping adventures and experiences of a lifetime. Mom would tell her girls to spontaneously round up friends and bring them back home to have a pop-up party. Mom was that ONE! She did so many fun things and gave her children/family the best life that she possibly could, without hesitation. Jeanette was a wonderful wife. She loved her some Pops! He was the love of her life. Even after 60 years the strong bond and love they shared is a true example of what unconditional commitment was, for all of us. Walley was by her side through it all until the very end. Jeanette leaves to join in heaven her daughter Carla Robinson, sisters Doris Freeman, Eugenia Smith Harvey, Carolyn Smith and brother Alfred “Mickey” Smith. Jeanette leaves to cherish her memories: Her loving and devoted husband James (Walley) Robinson of Chester, PA; One son, Anthony Tony Robinson (Phyllis) of New Castle, DE; three daughters, Tina Hodges (Billy) of Asbury Park, NJ, Kelly Warren (Chris) of Ellicott City, MD, and Lisa Minor (Darwyn) of Sicklerville, NJ. Six grandchildren, Sherrod Robinson Sr. (Karen) of Sicklerville, NJ, Brandon Robinson of Atlanta, GA, Shaina Robinson of Bear, DE, Ian Robinson Sr. of Newark, DE, Lauren Ainsworth (Seth) of Columbia, MD, and Marcus Warren of Ellicott City, MD. Three great grandchildren Sherrod Robinson Jr, Ian Robinson Jr., and Logan Ainsworth. Four sister, Bertha “Penny” Webb, Ruby Davis, Theresa Parson, Najah El’ (Bilal). One brother Richard ”Buster” Smith. She had one adopted son in her heart William Freeman (Carmen). She also leaves a host nieces, nephews, and friends that were always near and dear to her heart including Viola Redd and Alberta Lee. Jeanette’s wings were ready and waiting but our hearts were never prepared. She will be sorely missed by so many who cared. Submitting To His Will, The Family
