Jason R Cunningham 41 Sunrise Sept. 30, 1981 Sunset Nov. 23, 2022 Born and raised in Philadelphia Pa. Jason was loved by his family and friends very much. Jason earned his wings on Nov 23, 2022, at Crozer Chester Medical Center with his wife and best friend Sabrina by his side. Jason was born to Danita Watkins and Juan Cunningham; he was the oldest of 7 children. Jason’s education started in Phila. Public school system and then he graduated from Youthbuild Charter School. Jason learned early on that had a deep love for football and that he was a diehard Eagles fan. Outside of his love for football he also had a love for cars which he has passed on to his children. Jason’s life became a learning moment that he took to heart because even though he may have made mistakes he took those moments in his life to educate his children, the young men and ladies that he came in contact with, as a way to say you can do better than me so go and be great. Jason married his wife Sabrina in 2012 and they were married for 10 years. It was this union that led him back to where his heart had always been, the church. Jason and Sabrina created a family with their children which he loved with every breath in his body. Jason also discovered his love of cooking and experiencing different cultural foods with his wife. Even though he worked a lot he tried to never miss any of his children's big events in life. It didn’t matter if it was a play, volleyball game, or the birth of his only grandson Braxton who was his second mini best friend because the first was his first-born son Asante. Jason was faced with End Stage Renal Failure and even with that on his plate he never gave up and fought through every curve ball that the diagnosis threw at him. It was at this time that Jason really connected with his faith because he felt like God gave him a way to touch even more people, those who were having a hard time dealing with the same thing as he was. To know Jason was to love him or leave him because was who he was and did not change for anyone. His smile and joy was contagious and you could not help but to be happy when you were around him. Jason leaves behind his wife Sabrina Cunningham 4 daughters Shamara Whitaker, Shamyra Woods-Elliott, Shamyah Woods-Cole and Justyce Cunningham, 1 son Asante Cunningham and 1 grandson Braxton Whitaker. He also leaves his parents Danita Watkins and Juan Cunningham 4 sisters Juanquia, Jamee, Kayla, and Kebbe-Jo. 2 brothers Julius, Ombray and a host of family and friends who will deeply miss his presence. The Family wants to thank everyone that donated, stopped by, called or texted at this difficult time.
