Herbert Ronald Arrington Sr.

Herbert Ronald Arrington Sr., was born on November 27th, 1938 in Chester, PA to Elbert Eugene and Rachel Arrington. He was educated in the Chester school systems. Herbert was introduced to Christ at an early age and was a long time member of St Paul CME church. He sang with the Men’s Choir, Humble Gospelaires, and many other singing groups. Herbie as he was affectionately known was a three year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. He also was a boxer during his tour of duty. After being honorably discharged he met and married Priscilla Mae Chambers and their union was blessed with four children; Michael, Isha, Herbert, and Laura. Herbie was a welder employed by Sun Ship Chester, PA, Penn Ship Chester, PA, Naval Yard Philadelphia, PA, retiring from Lenape Forge, Lenape, PA Herbie had a love of singing, writing songs, bowling, and helping others. He was a dedicated volunteer of the food ministry at St. Paul CME Church also serving as a trustee and provided janitorial service for the church. After the passing of Priscilla in 2002 Herbie found love again and remarried March 28th, 2004 to Eunice Irene Beasley. Herbie became an active stepfather of Samuel Allen Nesmith. Herbie was preceded in death by his parents, son Michael Anthony Arrington, his first wife Priscilla Mae Arrington, his second wife Eunice Irene Arrington, his brothers Fred Hollingsworth, Eugene Elbert Arrington, his sister Lorraine Loper, brother-in-laws Jimmy Jones, Curtis Chambers, Ernest Chambers, Howard Chambers, Richard Chambers, Kevin Chambers, Randolph Chambers, Marvin, Chambers, sister-in-laws Anna Hollingsworth, Sarah Hunter, Bertie Chambers, Henrietta Chambers, Charlotte Alston, Ida Chambers Herbie leaves behind three children Isha Lorraine Reed (Derrick), Herbert Ronald Arrington Jr. (Celeste), Laura Jean Buck (Ronnie). One stepchild Samuel Allen Nesmith, sister Dora Jean Jones, brother Reginald Arrington, sister in laws Velma Arrington, Annie Watson, grandchildren Rahmir Arrington, Charnay Pugh-Arrington, Jasmine Germany, Robert Buck, Derrick (DJ) Reed Jr. Great-grandchild Rahmir Kangsu Arrington and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews. And a host of other family and friends.
