Gerard K. Duncan

On Wednesday April 15th, 2020, our hearts were saddened by the loss of our beloved son, father, brother, uncle, and friend. Gerard Kyle Duncan (49) affectionately known as “Gee” to his family and friends, suddenly departed this life. Gerard was born on March 9th, 1971 in Chester, Pennsylvania to the late Gwendolyn D. Duncan and Gregory O. Duncan. Gerard attended Chester public schools and later received a certificate of completion as a nursing tech. In his youth, Gerard accepted Christ in his life at the Temple Baptist Church, and later joined The Temple of Brotherly Love C.C. Church where he served as a Junior Usher. While in his youth, Gerard would often enjoy watching and playing little league baseball. As a young adult, he traveled overseas to Okinawa and Germany staying on various Stateside Military Bases with his family. Gerard liked football, and was a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan, as well as a lover of good music. You could often find “Gee” “happy feet” as the life of the party dancing, hyping up the crowd or off grooving by himself. Gerard was helpful to everyone, always lending a helping hand when needed, never hesitating to show kindness in anyway. He kept a smiling face, a witty personality, a hearty appetite, and a special place in his heart for his Sons. His legacy will be etched in the memory of all of his family and friends. Gerard was proceeded in death by his mother Gwendolyn Duncan, maternal grandparents Elbert and Ester Mathis, paternal grandparents Elwood (Pop-Pop), Hilda (Nana) Duncan Sr., uncles Alfred Carter, Elwood Duncan Jr., and Charles Duncan. Gerard leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted father Gregory O. Duncan (Anniebelle P-Duncan) of Hopewell, VA, Three sons Tahjee Duncan of Chester, Pa., Jazir. And Jamir Carter Duncan of Chester, Pa. Five sisters Lori Bowman of Folcroft, Pa., Nikina Miller of Petersburg, Va., Fallon Ford of Salisbury, Md., Robin Titus (Jaime) of Smyrna De., and Roslyn Wyche-Washington (Rickey) of Richmond, Va. Two brothers Jason Duncan, Of Atlanta, Ga., and André Wyche (Sabrina) of Norfolk Va., Six aunts, three uncles, a devoted godmother, two special sister-cousins, a loving companion, family, and a host of, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. “How can I say goodbye?” I’ll say farewell “I’ll miss you, my buddy” ~Dad Due to Present circumstances a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
