Ena A. Townsend

Ena Antoinette Townsend September 28, 1970-June 30, 2024 Ena Antoinette was born in Chester, Pa. on September 28, 1970. Ena was the third of three loving children born to Albert Townsend and Cheryl Hull (Townsend). Ena departed this life on June 30, 2024, at Crozer Chester Medical Center. Ena received her education from the Chester Upland School District and the Atlantic County School District. Ena graduated from high school on June 4, 1988. Ena also attended Palmer School of Business. While pursuing her life’s ambitions, Ena’s greatest joy was God blessing her with 2 beautiful children. Ena’s daughter Chastity Townsend was born April 19, 1990, and Ena’s son Kareem Raheem Shaheer was born July 17, 1997. Ena, was a dedicated and hard working individual who entered the workforce immediately after completing high school. She rarely missed a day from work and found purpose in caring for others. Ena’s compassion extended far beyond her professional abilities as she prioritized her love and sought out ways to have a positive impact on the lives of others. In her leisure time, Ena found joy while vacationing with her children and grandchildren, savoring precious moments together. Atlantic City held a special place in Ena’s heart, serving as a retreat where she could go to unwind with close friends. Ena adored Chasity’s she-poo dog, (Bentley), Taking him on short rides and walks, even allowing him to sometimes vacation with the family. Music also played a significant role in Ena’s life. She and a deep appreciation for gospel music, James Cleveland was one of her favorite singers. Ena had a love for old school artists, Marvin Gaye, The Whispers, Gladys Knight, Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, and Lauren Hill. These melodies bought her comfort and happiness. Ena Relished and indulged in her favorite foods, mainly crabs and side dishes of seafood, which was her source of enjoyment. In addition to her comforting music and food, Ena was an avid supporter and lover of the professional basketball player, Lebron James. She found excitement and entertainment as she watched basketball games with her very special friend, Brandon Morris. Ena was a woman of faith and virtue, she loved the Lord, and she was her own unique and special self. Ena found solitude, peace and guidance in her spiritual walk with God. As Ena continued her spiritual journey with the Lord, she attended Bethany Baptist Church under the Senior Pastor Curtis D Morris. Ena, will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, nurturing grandmother, devoted daughter, a special sister, and a true caregiver. Ena was a woman who valued her family above all else. Her presence will be deeply missed. A legacy of love and kindness will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
