Diana Mae Taylor

Diana Mae “Snooki” Taylor who was affectionately addressed by her family and friends as “Snooki”, Ms. Di, Sister Smooth, and Nanna was born on August 16, 1946, in Pocomoke City, Maryland to the late John Henry Rogers and Arnita Dorothy Cropper. Diana unexpectedly received her wings to join the angles on Saturday March 16, 2024, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital surrounded by family. On February 6, 1974, she was united in holy matrimony to George Edward Taylor and moved to Chester, Pa. where they made it their home, and they were blessed with six children. Diana was educated in the public schools of Worcester County and also completed her education at the O.I.C. in Chester, Pa, where she received her diploma. She was employed by Davis Restaurant, Center for the Blind, Dobbs Airline Service, Chespenn Dental Center and her last place of employment was at Main Elementary School until she retired. In her leisure time Diana liked spending time with family going to different celebrations. She loved traveling, going on cruises, playing bingo, and playing Pokeno. She also loved watching her cooking shows and game shows every day. To know our mother Diana was to love her. She loved people and never met a stranger that she didn't like or get along with. Diana was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 98 grade. She was a Girl Scout leader and sponsored Girl Scout Troops for eastern Pennsylvania. Diana had a desire to serve and loved the Lord. She joined St. Luke C. C. Church under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Benjamin Ball. While attending St. Luke she participated in various ministries such as the Senior Usher Board, Busy Bee, Rosa D. Ballard Scholarship Ministry, St. Luke Catering, Hospitality Ministries, and Family Promise Hospitality Ministry. Diana was preceded in death by her Husband George Edward Taylor; Mother Arnita Dorothy Ayers; Son Sylvester Rogers Sr.; Granddaughter Amirah Spence; Great-grandson Stephen William Jr.; Sister Dorothy Arnita Hudson; Goddaughter Nelly. Diana left to cherish her memories, children; Shirley Spence (Damon), Richard Spence, Aleemah (Garnetta), Spence (Diego), LeRoy Spence (Nicole), and Geraldine Spence all of Chester, Pa. Sisters; Betty Lee Simpson of Baltimore, MD., and Beatrice Morris of Minnesota; 20 Grandchildren, 34 Great grandchildren, and 1 Great-great-grandson; a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Friends; a very special friend/sister June Johnson; 1 Godson Richard Granberry Jr. Lovingly Submitted – The Family
